     CDL Tractor Trailer Driver Training

Tractor Trailer Driver Training

Lehigh Career & Technical School in partnership with the SAGE Corporation, offers a professional tractor trailer driving program to prepare students for careers in the motor carrier field. The comprehensive {Current Equipment} program includes driver skill development, applied safety regulations and procedures, equipment maintenance and proper loading techniques as well as intra- and inter-state regulations. The training prepares graduates to obtain their Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and necessary endorsements, thus developing students for entry-level positions as professional tractor trailer drivers. Our 150 hour course is certified by the Professional Truck Driving Institute (PTDI). (Schnecksville Campus Only)

The Professional Truck Driver Institute is a nonprofit organization sponsored by the nation's trucking industry to advise truck driving proficiency, safety, and professional standards among drivers. These in turn foster benefits for all stakeholders, including motor carriers, insurers, training schools, government bodies at all levels, funding organizations and the American public.

The Advantages:

  • Graduates from PTDI-certified courses can apply for their first jobs with the confidence that they will stand the best chance of being hired.
  • Your credentials as a graduate of a PTDI course attest that you have mastered the knowledge, procedures and basic skill habits that will keep you safe on the road and assure that your job is secure.
